TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht has strengthened its goalkeeping squad with the arrival of Justin Heekeren. The 25-year-old goalkeeper, who has German nationality, is making the move from Schalke 04 to Brussels and has signed with the Purple & White until the summer of 2029.
Heekeren, a 1.96-meter tall and two-footed goalkeeper, enjoyed his youth training at Rot-Weiss Oberhausen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, among others. Last season, he was the regular between the posts at Schalke 04, where he played a total of 33 games for the first team.
Technical director Olivier Renard is pleased with the new signing:
“Justin has all the qualities we look for in a modern goalkeeper. He is strongly built, has excellent reflexes and is comfortable on the ball with both feet. We are delighted to welcome him to Anderlecht.”
