GAMES A notable appearance in the press room of the Allianz Arena. Michael Verschueren, chairman of RSC Anderlecht, attended Vincent Kompany's press conference. Afterwards, there was a warm reunion between the two men. Verschueren left the room together with the Bayern Munich coach.
After the 2-0 victory against Union SG, Vincent Kompany spoke highly of the Brussels club. In front of the VTM NIEUWS camera, in a conversation with analyst Gilles De Bilde, the Bayern coach made no secret of his respect. “Union deserves admiration,” he said. “I wish them every success. Clubs that radiate stability mean a lot to Belgian football. Hopefully Anderlecht can rejoin them soon.”
Words that met with approval from at least one person present in Munich. Anderlecht chairman Michael Verschueren was himself at the Allianz Arena.
Verschueren took a seat in the press room and waited for Kompany after his press conference. The meeting was particularly cordial: the two men embraced warmly. Afterwards, they left the press room together.
