YOUTH Anderlecht has signed Ilyes Bennane to his first professional contract. The young attacking midfielder had only just celebrated his 15th birthday on Monday. He is now tied to Anderlecht until mid-2028. Bennane, who comes from Verviers, played in the youth setups of Eupen, Standard and Genk before moving to Anderlecht in 2024.
"Between the lines, Ilyes lets his creativity run free. He is good on the ball, is known for easily finding free spaces and possesses an excellent striking technique," Anderlecht describes the young talent. "Ilyes is part of the talented 2011 generation and is the first to sign a professional contract, now on his fifteenth birthday," the club added.
