TRANSFERS In its search for a successor to Besnik Hasi, Anderlecht has Thorsten Fink on its radar, according to newspaper reports. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the Purple & White are initially looking at coaches who are available. Knowledge of the Belgian league is a plus.
Anderlecht is therefore not planning to buy out a coach who is under contract elsewhere, according to Het Laatste Nieuws. From that perspective, Fink is an interesting prospect.
The 58-year-old Fink was dismissed by Racing Genk in mid-December. In the 2023-2024 season, he impressed at STVV, after which he moved to Genk. He got off to a very strong start there, but the machine stalled during last season's play-offs. He was unable to get the team going this season either.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, there has already been contact between Anderlecht and Fink. Het Nieuwsblad contradicts this.
