OTHER At the press conference ahead of the match against Royal Antwerp, a new face appeared at Lotto Park. Edward Still sat there for the first time as interim head coach of RSC Anderlecht. It quickly became an emotionally charged moment, in which he reflected at length on Besnik Hasi's departure. "I felt Besnik's departure deeply," Still said.

"When you work together day in, day out for six months, you naturally build a bond." It was his first public appearance as interim head coach, and it did not go unnoticed. Still also said he had spoken with Hasi beforehand. "I only wanted to return to Belgium if the coach approved of my arrival. I have always had an open and honest relationship with Besnik. That's why a decision like this hits you. Before I accepted Anderlecht's offer, I spoke with him first."

Reporters also asked about the reaction within the squad after Hasi's sacking. "We can't change what's already happened," he replied calmly. "The results stand. Now we must make sure tomorrow's performance is as good as possible." According to Still, emotions in the dressing room ran the gamut. "There was anger, sadness… We talked a lot. Players like Biglia, Taravel and Proto spoke up. Everyone had their say. Now we must rebuild trust as quickly as possible."

Finally, the interim coach talked about the short preparation time. "Two days is obviously not much, but it is what it is. Will we start tomorrow with one hundred percent confidence? No. But if we focus on the basics, that can grow during the match. There will certainly be some adjustments."
