OTHER Anderlecht can count on defender Moussa Diarra for the cup return leg against Antwerp. However, after receiving a red card in the first leg, he initially appeared to be suspended.
Diarra was sent off last week after a heavy foul on Al-Sahafi. The federation prosecutor then proposed a three-match suspension and a fine of €3,000. However, Anderlecht did not agree with this punishment and decided to appeal, hoping to obtain a lighter sanction.
Because the appeal will not be heard until after the return leg, Diarra remains eligible to play for the time being. This means that the Brussels club can field him as usual on Thursday in the decisive match against Antwerp.
The same does not apply to Killian Sardella. The defender is automatically suspended for the return leg after receiving two yellow cards in the first match. As a result, he will have to sit out the important cup match.
