OTHER According to Het Laatste Nieuws, two candidates remain in the running to become Anderlecht's new coach: Alfred Schreuder or Jon Dahl Tomasson. The club reportedly wants to make a decision today. Schreuder was still champion in 2021/2022 with Club Brugge after succeeding Philippe Clement. He then moved to Ajax, but this ended quickly amid disappointing results.
Afterwards he coached two clubs in the United Arab Emirates. Tomasson made his name as a player at Feyenoord, AC Milan and with the Danish national team. He served, among other roles, as assistant coach of Denmark, won two league titles with Malmö in Sweden and later became Sweden's national coach. He was dismissed there following very poor results in World Cup qualifying.
