GAMES After Anderlecht's rebirth in the Croky Cup, another important match awaits tomorrow. Following poor league results the club has lost its cushion and must pick up points to guarantee a place in Play-Off 1. La Louvière has already shown it can be more than a stubborn opponent, but the mauve-and-white can now scarcely afford any slip-ups. Winning is therefore the order of the day.
Reaching the cup final — and the manner in which they did — is an absolute bright spot in an otherwise difficult season. Despite a very weak period, the season is not yet lost, but Anderlecht urgently needs to pick itself up in the league. If they can reproduce Thursday's level, there should be no problem; if Anderlecht have an off day, they can lose to any team.
