OTHER The Brussels club has dismissed two employees from its scouting department. Among them is Laurenz Van Looveren, who had been working since 2020 at the training centre in Neerpede as a data analyst. The move is part of a broader reorganization of the scouting structure. Earlier, at the end of last year, the club already parted ways with head scout Dries Belaen.

At the same time, David Verwilghen was appointed as the new Director Scouting & Recruitment; he joined from La Louvière, where he served as technical director. Anderlecht had also earlier strengthened the revamped scouting unit with Hugo Rios-Neto, who was brought in as Recruitment Data Specialist. As previously reported, Thorsten Fink, the former coach of Racing Genk and at one time linked to Anderlecht as a possible candidate, has found a new challenge. He will take charge at Turkish side Samsunspor, signing a contract that runs until 2028.
