TRANSFERS It is now clear that Al-Diraiyah is not willing to let coach Alfred Schreuder leave early. The question is what Anderlecht will do: move to another coach now or wait until the summer. According to Het Nieuwsblad, Schreuder has indicated he would also be willing to join the purple-and-white in the summer. His contract runs until June.

The Dutchman is keen on the challenge at Anderlecht and is prepared to wait until the summer to start. Het Nieuwsblad reports that Schreuder and Anderlecht have found common ground on a project focused on positive, attacking football and on short lines between the coaching staff and the decision-makers. The good results under Jérémy Taravel and the support the Frenchman enjoys within the squad mean Anderlecht is in no hurry to appoint a new coach.

It is therefore possible that Taravel will see out the season as head coach. In that scenario Anderlecht could first work on appointing a sporting director. Logically that would come first, followed by a coach. But what if the new technical director wants a different coach than Schreuder? Quite a few decisions for Kenneth Bornauw and his team to make.
