OTHER Anderlecht feels less pressure to quickly appoint a new coach. The search is proving difficult, but interim coach Jérémy Taravel is gaining internal confidence thanks to good results and strong support from the players.
Under his leadership, Anderlecht has recorded several important victories, including a comfortable win against Antwerp and a league victory against Zulte Waregem after a long period without a win. Although the team's play is not yet convincing, better results and greater organization have restored confidence within the squad.
The positive results give the board extra time in its search for a permanent coach. The arrival of Alfred Schreuder remains uncertain and other options seem limited, making a longer stay for Taravel more realistic. Continuity and stability may currently be more important than a quick decision.
In addition, Anderlecht is working on a restructuring and is first looking for a new sporting director, who can later have a say in the choice of coach. Due to the recent progress under Taravel, the club feels less urgency and can take its time to make the right decision.
