INTERVIEWS Show, fun and daring. That is how Nathan De Cat sums up his performance for RSC Anderlecht against Oud-Heverlee Leuven. The young midfielder visibly enjoyed his role and admitted afterwards that he mainly wants one thing: to have fun on the pitch. Notably, De Cat lined up against OHL as the number ten — a position he had not expected.

"That was a surprise," he said frankly. Still, he made the best of it straight away and faithfully carried out the coach's instructions. De Cat stresses that he always plays wherever the coach needs him. Flexibility and commitment, he says, are central to his development within the squad. Even more striking is the confidence within the group.

According to De Cat, Anderlecht has clearly learned from earlier missteps. The team now takes more initiative and dares to take the game into its own hands — an approach that against OHL clearly paid off. With his enthusiasm and growing role, De Cat seems to be making an increasingly noticeable impression at the purple-and-white.
