OTHER Keisuke Goto told the Walloon paper La Dernière Heure about his contract. The Japanese forward, on loan from Anderlecht to Sint-Truiden, has already accumulated a nice tally of goals and assists this season. Goto sees himself next year either playing in the Bundesliga or back at Anderlecht. A more pressing case is that of Thorgan Hazard.

Under Taravel the player has returned to his best level and even became top scorer. Yet Anderlecht still have not opened new contract talks. The purple-and-white offered him a one-year deal with an option for a second year and a significantly reduced salary. Hazard refused. He would accept the lower pay, but only with a two-year contract.

Given his current form that seems a no-brainer, but the club has shown no sign of reopening negotiations. They may be waiting for the appointment of a new sporting director to take action. Hazard himself also appears willing to wait for that appointment. Journalists are meanwhile speculating about a return to Zulte-Waregem: the club still has a place in his heart and he does not live far away.

Finally, there is the situation of Nathan De Cat. Almost every top European club is courting him and Anderlecht will find it hard to renew his contract. Because he is still under 18, the club can only extend his deal to a limited extent. They are therefore considering a new scenario: sell De Cat in the summer and immediately loan him back for a year. Anderlecht hopes to get more for him than they did for Doku; the quick winger left for 34 million euros.
