GAMES Kenneth Bornauw currently faces a major assignment at RSC Anderlecht. As CEO he bears ultimate responsibility for the search for a new sporting director and a new head coach, and at the same time must decide on contract extensions for several players.
After the 5-1 win over OH Leuven, Bornauw and board member Michael Verschueren waited to greet the players; he welcomed them personally, which some see as a way for board members to make a public showing. Insiders, however, emphasise that Bornauw is genuinely involved with the team.
Although football is often driven by results and unexpected twists, Bornauw is known for keeping his composure. Former staff say he analyses situations rationally and is not easily carried away by emotion.
