INTERVIEWS Undefeated since Jérémy Taravel took over as head coach, Anderlecht enters the final stretch of the regular season with renewed momentum. Last weekend's draw in Bruges confirms this resurgence. What can still happen in the playoffs? For Thomas Chatelle, a former RSCA player and now an analyst, the current situation at Sporting could even turn into an advantage. During the Champions' Playoffs, which start in April, Anderlecht will play without the usual pressure.

“No one expects them to win the title,” he notes, and he is convinced that this unusual context for a club of this caliber could liberate the players. Chatelle goes a step further: “Just watch, because they could still surprise everyone,” he says.

With a cup final and the always unpredictable playoffs, Anderlecht can still aim for its first trophy since 2017. An eternity for a club of this caliber, and a real chance to bring some sparkle back to a season that has long been considered inconsistent. Chatelle certainly believes in it.
