According to Hazard, there are still opportunities in the Champions Playoffs: “There is a big point difference, but anything can still happen.”

Hazard is reportedly in negotiations with the board regarding his contract. No new proposal has been put on the table yet, but the board knows he wants a contract longer than one year. According to the player, salary is not an issue. Zulte-Waregem is said to be showing interest, but according to Hazard, no offer has been made yet. Foreign clubs have also inquired.

Hazard is also open to a return to the Red Devils, but does not want to be selected simply to fill a spot. Hazard has also shown great team spirit and would even be willing to give up his spot to teammate Nathan De Cat if it came down to a situation where only one of the two could go to the World Cup.
