OTHER National coach Rudi Garcia has called up Nathan De Cat to the 28-man squad for the friendlies against the USA (28 April) and Mexico (1 April). Garcia said De Cat has seen a lot of game time this season, is important for Anderlecht, and that he would like to see him in action with the national team.
On the one hand the selection is of course good news for the player himself and for De Cat's market value should Anderlecht need to sell him this summer. On the other hand it involves a long trip to the USA during the international break while Anderlecht are preparing for the Play-offs — a period De Cat could also have used very well to prepare for those Play-offs.
