OTHER A Belgian will soon be joining the German national team's staff. Bram Geers, currently serving as Performance Director at Anderlecht, has recently joined the technical staff of head coach Julian Nagelsmann. This means he will travel with Germany to the upcoming World Cup in the United States.

Over the past few years, Geers has built a close working relationship with Vincent Kompany. When Kompany joined Anderlecht, Geers was already part of the coaching staff as a physical trainer. That collaboration continued later at Burnley and then at Bayern Munich, where the duo won the league title last season.

After his time in Germany, Geers returned to Anderlecht, where he has since held the position of Performance Director. He will retain that role despite his new assignment.

From now on, Geers will combine his work at the Brussels club with a role with the German national team. He is currently in Germany for the March international matches and has also been on the training field. During international breaks, he will support “Die Mannschaft” and is also part of the staff traveling to the World Cup.

At Anderlecht, they emphasize that this is a project-based collaboration, meaning Geers will continue to carry out his duties at the club as usual
