INJURIES Nathan de Cat has nevertheless suffered a serious injury. After yesterday's match there had been cautious optimism, but the midfielder is now sidelined for 4 to 6 weeks. That means he will miss the bulk of the playoffs. The cup final is also hanging by a thread: it takes place in almost exactly one month, so De Cat would only be available in the most favourable scenario — and then without match fitness.
All in all, it's a major setback for the club. The exact nature of the injury was revealed after a medical exam: a rupture in the ankle ligament.
