INTERVIEWS No — Jérémy Taravel is the first to admit that Anderlecht did not play well against Gent. The coach was nonetheless pleased and relieved that his side still managed to claim all three points. "The bench made the difference. That shows we are a close-knit team," Taravel said.

"We only played about 15 good minutes. In the first half we struggled to find space in midfield. Gent pressed us well and forced us out to the flanks. We corrected that in the second half with more movement and depth. That's how we got into our rhythm and took control. We deserved to come back and win."

"The bench makes the difference. That shows we are a team, a tight group. I'm glad the substitutes scored — that reflects the mentality and character of the squad," the coach continued. Taravel also noted that Anderlecht looked different against Gent than they did in the first half against Brugge. "But let's not get carried away; there is still plenty of work to do. The most important thing is to keep this mentality and to keep delivering."
