OTHER How is Kristian Arnstad (22) doing these days? The Norwegian was tipped for a big future under Vincent Kompany, but he never truly broke through at Anderlecht. In Denmark Arnstad is currently thriving, and he has also made his debut for the Norwegian national team. At Anderlecht he spent a long time searching for his best role in the purple-and-white, chiefly where he fit on the midfield.
After Kompany's departure his playing time diminished, so he moved to Aarhus GF in the summer of 2024. There he is enjoying a strong season as a left winger: he has already scored ten goals and provided four assists. At Anderlecht, apart from Hazard, no one comes close to those numbers this season.
Aarhus are currently competing in the Superliga play-offs, the Danish version of the post-season. Arnstad meanwhile made his debut for Norway in a friendly against New Zealand and was regularly included in the squad for the final World Cup qualifiers. Still, making the World Cup will not be easy: Norway once again have a talented group and, for example, took the full six points against Italy in the group.
