YOUTH Ajax Amsterdam is undergoing a new change within its scouting team. The 39-year-old Belgian scout Wesley Nys has announced that he is leaving the club after nearly six seasons of service. This news was confirmed by Nys himself via a post on Instagram.
Nys came to Amsterdam to strengthen the international scouting department and was primarily responsible for identifying young talent in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg, while also contributing to video scouting for Ajax's youth academy. A strategic role at a club traditionally known for developing young players.
Wesley Nys will likely now move to RSC Anderlecht, his former club, where a new opportunity awaits him.
At the RSCA Academy, he will be reunited with Afrim Salievski, Talent Director, who also spent five years as a youth scouting coordinator at Ajax.
