TRANSFERS Anderlecht explored whether Cheikhou Kouyaté (36) could be an asset to RSCA Futures as a dispensation player. The Senegalese player even joined a few training sessions, but ultimately, no contract will be signed.
The midfielder, who has made 92 appearances for Senegal, has been without a club for quite some time after terminating his contract with Turkish second-division side Amed SK. He played in only nine matches there. Kouyaté had hoped to finish his career at Anderlecht, the club where he played between 2009 and 2014 and won four league titles.
However, a new partnership with the Purple & White will not materialize. Neither party is providing further explanation at this time.
