Anderlecht must absolutely win the cup final on 14 May and keep its fourth place in the table, says Jérémy Taravel. After the defeat to Union, RSCA now trails Sint?Truiden by eight points, a gap that makes the battle for third place "complex," Taravel admits. But the coach refuses to give up: "There are still 15 points to play for; as long as it's possible, we must believe." Taravel will have to do without Sardella for two weeks. Having reviewed the footage, the coach called the red card disproportionate: "A yellow for both players would have been sufficient."

He also pointed to an unpunished action by Burgess, which frustrates him: "We're used to Burgess always getting away with it." Between Anderlecht and the cup final there are two important ties scheduled: Club Brugge and AA Gent.

Taravel does not intend to rotate heavily. "Against Brugge we have to be there. It's a big game; the players love matches like that." He also expects a rival that will be "going all out for the title." On Club Brugge versus Union, Taravel judges Club Brugge to be the better side on the ball, with more individual quality, while acknowledging that Union possesses specific weapons they use to perfection.
