INTERVIEWS This afternoon Anderlecht introduced its new sporting director, Antoine Sibierski, to the press. CEO Kenneth Bornauw said at the presentation that, before launching the search, the club carried out a thorough analysis of what it needed. "We arrived at five criteria. Sibierski meets all five," Bornauw said.

The five criteria Bornauw listed were:
- "Football DNA and experience at the highest level."
- "Sporting leadership. Antoine is someone who can be close to the playing squad and the staff. We were looking for 'un homme de terrain'."
- "Someone with proven expertise in assembling a competitive and balanced core."
- "Someone who pays attention to the promotion of homegrown talent. That is obvious at a club like RSCA and he will work closely with Tim Borguet on that."
- "Possessing a strong international network, preferably in the G5 competitions."

"So we ended up with Antoine," Bornauw added. "Of all the candidates he was the only one who combined these five elements. From the first conversation he showed affection for the club and a genuine interest in our project. His profile and his leadership also fit perfectly with the stage of life RSC Anderlecht is in." Bornauw concluded by saying that Sibierski will be responsible for all of the club's professional teams.
