OTHER Tomorrow is the day: Anderlecht play the Belgian Cup final. Some 18,511 purple-and-white supporters will follow the local derby against Union at the King Baudouin Stadium. The purple-and-white Fan Village on Eeuwfeestlaan opens at 10:00. There are no concrete plans for a celebration if the result is positive.

The match kicks off at 3:00 pm. At 1:12 pm, Anderlecht fans will march from the Fan Village to the stadium. The purple-and-white supporters will be seated in stands 3 and 4 — the same location they occupied in 2008 for their last cup win. In the previous two finals they lost, they were placed elsewhere in the stadium. Anderlecht has rented Palace 3 to host 1,600 VIPs, including about thirty former players such as Olivier Deschacht, Georges Grün, Marcin Wasilewski, Nenad Jestrovic, Filip De Wilde and Tomasz Radzinski. Romelu Lukaku and Vincent Kompany were also invited, but have not yet confirmed.

Fans without tickets can watch the match on a big screen at Lotto Park; roughly 4,000 supporters are expected to attend there. If Anderlecht win tomorrow, the players will quickly head to Lotto Park to help turn it into a big celebration. After the disappointments of the past two editions there is no detailed plan — organizers are hoping for a spontaneous public party.
