TRANSFERS Thorgan Hazard will leave Anderlecht after this season. Anderlecht's official Facebook page posted a farewell message addressed to Hazard ahead of tonight's match: "De lach van het Park. Merci pour tout, Toto, et bon vent." Hazard moved from Dortmund in September 2023. He made 96 appearances for Anderlecht, scoring 21 times and providing 29 assists.
He also missed eight months with a torn cruciate ligament. This season Hazard has 15 goals, seven from the penalty spot — and of course those still have to be converted. His goals were important in getting Anderlecht back on course toward the Champions' Play-offs after a weak spell. Hazard is expected to join Lens, the club where he signed his first professional contract. RC Lens will play in next season's Champions League after finishing second in France.
