OTHER The season is effectively over for Anderlecht. One match remains, but it no longer matters. Anderlecht finished fourth and must go into the Europa League qualifying rounds. It's high time to strengthen the squad, especially after the departure of several experienced figures yesterday.
Sports director Antoine Sibierski appears to have taken the message on board. It looks as though the club will focus on adding more experience in the key positions, with Sibierski in particular targeting the central defence. Four other crucial positions have reportedly been identified as urgent priorities, and the club wants to move quickly to reinforce them. There will also be a stronger emphasis on mentality, guidance and discipline to get the best out of the team.
