TRANSFERS Anderlecht is exploring international options to strengthen its squad, and this time the rumour points to Romania. According to journalist Lorenzo Lepore, RSCA is tracking Mihai Lixandru (24), a defensive midfielder for FCSB who has been a regular and one of the club's most consistent performers in recent seasons. This campaign he featured in 44 matches, scored four goals and provided three assists. Scouts are attracted to his profile: strong in duels, tactically disciplined, with excellent stamina and the added ability to play as a centre-back.
That versatility is valuable for Anderlecht, which also wants to reinforce its central defence. Lepore reports that several European clubs have shown interest — Rapid Vienna (Austria), FC Thun and Swiss champions FC Luzern (Switzerland) — with the Swiss clubs reportedly currently in pole position. Transfermarkt places Lixandru's market value at around €1 million, but that figure is theoretical: he is under contract with FCSB until 2029, which means any interested club will have to negotiate with the Romanians.
