TRANSFERS Antoine Sibierski wants to complete several incoming transfers and appears prepared to free up the necessary budget. Earlier players such as Hazard already left the club and a number of loanees were not retained. Now César Huerta is also reportedly about to leave, Sacha Tavolieri writes on X (formerly Twitter). That in itself is striking.
Huerta arrived in 2025 and was largely a regular starter until an injury sidelined him in 2026. He returned for the final matches of last season, performed respectably and is a Mexican international. Precisely for that reason a sale right now would be odd, since his market value could only rise ahead of the upcoming World Cup. Still, Sibierski would let the Mexican go. The player is said to have reached a personal agreement with Toluca, a club from his homeland. Anderlecht are reportedly still negotiating the transfer fee; how much the purple-and-white hope to receive is not yet known.
