TRANSFERS Although no final decision has yet been made on the new head coach, Anderlecht's transfer business is meanwhile continuing apace. According to several sources, the Purple & White are close to signing French central defender Giulian Biancone. The 26-year-old is currently under contract at Greek side Olympiakos, where he still has one year to run on his deal. His current market value is estimated at around €2.5 million, making him a feasible addition for the Brussels club.
Biancone was developed at AS Monaco and already gained experience in Belgium during a two-season loan spell at Cercle Brugge. He then moved on via Troyes to English side Nottingham Forest, which reportedly paid around €10 million for him at the time. Since 2023, he has been wearing the colours of Olympiakos. With the possible arrival of Biancone, Anderlecht appear to be focusing on strengthening their defence, even as the search for a new coach continues. No official deal has been announced for the time being.
