OTHER Anderlecht's pre-season does not just bring in fresh faces, but also a few familiar names back to Neerpede. Several players are returning after loan spells and rejoining the first-team squad. Forward Luis Vázquez has reported back after spending last season at Getafe. Moussa N'Diaye is also back in Brussels after his successful stint at Schalke 04, where he celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga.
Cedric Hatenboer, too, has rejoined the group after a six-month spell at Dutch side Telstar. Not everyone, however, looks set to stay in Brussels for long. Young talent Nathan De Cat is back in training, but his move to a German top-flight club appears to be only a matter of time. The expectation is that negotiations will be finalised soon. A few internationals were still missing on the first day of training. Nathan Saliba and César Huerta are still competing at the World Cup, while Joshua Nga Kana, who won silver with Belgium U17 at the European Championship, has been granted an extra week's holiday before linking up with the squad again.
