YOUTH What had already leaked this afternoon has now also been officially confirmed by Anderlecht: Jean Kindermans is returning to the old nest. As of next Wednesday, he will once again take up his position as technical director of the youth academy. He will be responsible for the sporting management of the U8s through to the U18s. “Under Jean Kindermans' leadership, Neerpede has grown into one of the most renowned youth academies in Europe,” says Anderlecht CEO Kenneth Bornauw.
“Even after his departure, contact always remained good. For many, it therefore felt natural that Jean would round off his career here. We are delighted to be able to say: welcome home, Jean.” Kindermans' current employer also communicated the news. “Kindermans had indicated that he wanted to return to his previous club and Antwerp respects that wish,” it said. “We would like to thank Jean for his commitment and the work he has done.”
