OTHER According to Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht had all but reached an agreement with Alfred Schreuder to become their manager for the new season. The Dutchman, however, decided at the last moment not to accept the proposal and preferred to wait for other offers. Schreuder is currently at the World Cup as assistant to Julian Nagelsmann, Germany's national coach. He was reportedly set to sign a three-year deal and could have started immediately after the World Cup, or once Germany were eliminated.
After Hasi was dismissed, Anderlecht also tried to bring Schreuder in, but Al-Diraiyah FC did not want to let him leave at the time.
