TRANSFERS Thomas Meunier may be set to continue his career in the Jupiler Pro League. The 34-year-old right-back is a free agent after his contract with Lille expired and is attracting interest from several Belgian top clubs. Anderlecht has meanwhile taken concrete steps. Following the injury to Ilay Camara, who will be sidelined for several weeks with a fractured foot, the Brussels club is looking for extra depth on the right wing.

Meunier has therefore been offered a deal by the Purple and White. For Anderlecht, the experienced Red Devil is an appealing option for several reasons. He brings plenty of experience, is Belgian, lives in Brussels and can be signed on a free transfer.

RSCA is not the only interested party, however. Antwerp have also made contact in recent days with the former Club Brugge player. The Great Old want to strengthen their right-back options and are also looking for leadership figures after the departure of several experienced players, including Vincent Janssen. Meunier had already made it clear that he wants to consider several options in Belgium. Alongside a possible return to Club Brugge, he also named Anderlecht and Standard as clubs he would be open to joining. The race for his signature now appears to be fully underway.
