TRANSFERS The transfer of Nathan De Cat to TSG Hoffenheim appears to be entering a decisive phase. The Bundesliga club has made an offer of more than 20 million euros, while Anderlecht are aiming for a fixed transfer fee of 25 million euros, supplemented by a sell-on clause. Both sides seem to be gradually moving closer to an agreement. The 17-year-old midfielder, who is currently training individually at the team's camp in Tubize because of an abdominal muscle injury, has made clear his preference for a move to Hoffenheim.
He has already reached a personal agreement on a four-year contract. Once the clubs strike a deal, the transfer will be complete. The official signing can only take place from July 19, when De Cat turns 18 and a longer contract becomes possible under FIFA regulations. At a fee of around 25 million euros, De Cat would immediately rank among the most expensive outgoing youth transfers in Anderlecht's history. Only Jeremy Doku, at 26 million euros, and Youri Tielemans, at 25 million euros, have done better so far.
