TRANSFERS The next name to surface as a possible reinforcement is Frenchman Alan Virginius (23) of Young Boys Bern. Virginius remains under contract until 2029, however, and the Swiss club do not really want to let him go. Virginius is hoping for a move this summer, especially since he had verbally agreed as much with his club. But Young Boys Bern appear to have changed their stance, as the club had already turned down interest from Genoa.
His market value is estimated at around €3 million, but the Swiss are now suddenly said to want at least €10 million. Another club showing interest is Germany's Paderborn. The Frenchman, who came through the ranks at Lille, has played 88 matches for Young Boys so far, scoring 13 goals and providing 13 assists. This weekend, he played 25 minutes in the opening league match in Switzerland, which Young Boys won 4-2.
