OTHER If Anderlecht can defeat the Greek side PAOK, a match against Levski Sofia or Kairat Almaty awaits in the final round. If Almaty were to lose to Sofia, Anderlecht would have to make a very long trip to Kazakhstan, a country that lies largely in Asia.
The first leg on August 20 will be played on the road; the Purple & Whites would then potentially play at home on August 27. Almaty reached the group stage of the Champions League last year by eliminating Celtic, among others. In the Champions League, however, they finished last with one point.
