OTHER Three days before the start of the season, Anderlecht has updated the player page on its official website. The first-team players are featured there in their new jerseys. Notably, among the players who were on loan last season, Moussa N'Diaye and Cedric Hatenboer (photo) are back on the list. Majeed Ashimeru is not.
Compared to last season, forward Elyss Dao has been removed from the first-team roster. The 19-year-old forward has been under contract with Anderlecht for a year and a half, but has made only four brief substitute appearances. He has 18 appearances for the Futures team, but he is not listed on that updated roster either.
Despite starting against Hammarby, young players Joshua Nga Kana and Jayden Onia Seke are still officially part of the Futures squad.
The first-team roster currently consists of 22 players:
