OTHER The chances of Moussa N'Diaye leaving this summer are very slim. According to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Anderlecht is counting on the Senegalese player to fill the left-back position alongside Ali Maamar this season.
For the right-back position, Anderlecht is looking to Ilay Camara once he has recovered from his injury.
Last fall, N'Diaye seemed to be going through a difficult period at Anderlecht. The death of his brother undoubtedly played a role in that. In January, he moved temporarily to Schalke 04. The change of scenery clearly did him good: with the Royal Blues, he immediately secured a starting spot and played a major role in their promotion to the Bundesliga. Schalke's attempts to sign him permanently were unsuccessful.
N'Diaye came off the bench in both European matches against Hammarby. He played particularly well in the second leg. His appearance helped turn the tide, both in terms of play and the score on the board.
The fact that Anderlecht is counting on N'Diaye and Maamar means the club is looking for a way out for Ludwig Augustinsson. The 32-year-old Swede still has a contract through the end of the season, but reports had previously surfaced that he might be allowed to leave due to his hefty salary.
