OTHER Anderlecht's core squad left for Greece on Wednesday afternoon for the important European match against PAOK. Notable among the group was the presence of club owner Marc Coucke, who traveled with the delegation for the first time in a long while.
As is often the case, Coucke appeared in his signature purple blazer as he boarded the plane alongside the players and staff. His presence underscores the importance of the match in Thessaloniki, where the Purple & Whites aim to take a solid step toward the next round of the Europa League.
Whether the club owner's presence is also intended to provide extra motivation to coach Vitor Bruno's squad remains to be seen on Thursday evening. What is certain is that the European campaign is considered particularly important within Anderlecht.
