INTERVIEWS Anderlecht faces a tough challenge on Thursday evening at Toumba Stadium, where PAOK is the opponent. Coach Vitor Bruno is keeping expectations in check, despite the convincing performance against Hammarby.
“The fact that we did well there doesn't mean it will come easily again now. Every game has its own story,” he said at the press conference.
According to the Portuguese coach, PAOK starts with a slight advantage. “They have a lot of experience, compete for titles every season, and know how to handle these kinds of matches. Plus, they eliminated Dynamo Kyiv in the previous round. We're still very much in a rebuilding phase.”
Bruno also referred to his earlier statement that Hammarby was the favorite. “At the time, that had to do with their match rhythm, because they had already played a lot of official matches. That difference no longer exists. But if you look purely at experience, I do give PAOK the edge.”
