TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht has strengthened its attacking ranks with the arrival of Marten Winkler. The 23-year-old German joins from Hertha BSC and has committed his future to the Brussels club for four seasons. Winkler, a left-footed player who usually operates from the right flank, is known for his explosiveness, agility and versatility up front. He came through the youth ranks in Berlin and, after a spell at Waldhof Mannheim, broke through in Hertha's first team.
Last season, he developed into a key figure there, and he carried that form straight into the start of the new campaign with a goal and two assists in his first match. With his arrival, the Purple & White outfit adds the desired dose of depth and pace.
