Under FIFA's medical protocol for concussion, he will have to follow a separate programme for seven to ten days, Anderlecht announced today. It remains unclear whether Bentayeb actually suffered a concussion on Saturday. Het Laatste Nieuws reported yesterday that he did not, and Anderlecht said today that after a few hours of observation in the emergency department, everything turned out to be fine.
“Bentayeb was able to leave the hospital at 2 a.m. His selection for the Moroccan national team is therefore not in danger, and he is allowed to travel with the squad,” the club said.
