GAMES Danylo Sikan has carried his fine form over to Ukraine. The striker scored the only goal for his country in the Nations League clash with Hungary. Ali Maamar played the full match for Morocco in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Sikan had not been called up for Ukraine since 2023, but today he handed his country victory with a well-placed header in League B against the Hungarians.
Maamar played 90 minutes for Morocco in the 2-0 win over Gabon in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Lesotho and Niger are also in Morocco's group, and the North Africans should have little trouble booking their place, as the top two teams in each group qualify for the Africa Cup. Bentayeb did not feature, presumably still as a precaution after the heavy head collision he suffered against Zulte Waregem last week.
