OTHER Besnik Hasi is still far from done talking about his departure from Anderlecht. The current Amedspor coach looks back extensively on his dismissal and does not hold back in his criticism of the club's leadership. According to the Albanian, Brussels lacked a clear vision and he was not sufficiently involved in transfer policy. Hasi says last season's European elimination marked the beginning of the end for him.
After the defeat to Charleroi, he believes the decision about his future had already been taken. “Why not let me finish the season? It couldn't have gotten any worse,” he says. Even so, Hasi believes Anderlecht will eventually reclaim its place at the top. “Anderlecht will come back, for sure. Sooner or later,” he concludes. Criticism of transfers Hasi also names several transfers from his time at Anderlecht. Among other things, he regrets that he would have preferred Danylo Sikan not to come, because the forward, in his eyes, was not match-fit enough. He also says he wanted to block the sale of Angulo. At the same time, he points to the development of young players. According to Hasi, players such as Angulo and Nathan De Cat played an important role under his watch.
The coach stresses that young talent must be given chances and developed. Hasi has now found a new challenge in Turkey, where he is working on a long-term project with Amedspor. But his departure from Anderlecht clearly remains a sensitive subject. His message is clear: according to Hasi, he was not treated properly in Brussels and there was no clear sporting direction.
