OTHER Anderlecht is immediately facing an unprecedented challenge after the international break. The Purple & White will play five straight matches away from home or in a hostile stadium. Cercle Brugge, Dinamo Zagreb, Beerschot, Jagiellonia Bialystok and AA Gent: that is Anderlecht's schedule between 10 and 25 October. In the club's 118-year history, such a run has never happened before.

Then there is the cup draw. Wesley Sonck sent Anderlecht to Beerschot, currently top of the table in 1B. At the Kiel, it can always get tricky. A poisoned gift from Sonck? 42 days without Lotto Park Supporters will have to follow their team on the road for quite some time. Lotto Park will go no fewer than 42 days without a home match. After Zulte Waregem on 19 September, the next home game will only come on 31 October, against Westerlo. Vítor Bruno will therefore be hoping his team can be just as convincing away from home as they are at Lotto Park. The next two weeks will provide an immediate and serious test.
