FLASHBACK The renowned Anderlecht restaurant Saint-Guidon was established on October 26, 1989. At its peak, it offered luxurious meals to the wealthier purple-and-white fans. For several years, it even held a Michelin star.
With the construction of the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium (now known as Lotto Park) and the opening of this starred restaurant, RSC Anderlecht was a true trendsetter throughout Europe in terms of fan experience.
The stadium was a pioneer with the concept of business seats. Moreover, it also retained standing areas behind the goal at a time when standing places were almost universally frowned upon.
In 2018, new owner Marc Coucke announced the closure of the declining establishment in favor of a new and trendier concept.
