TRANSFERS - OPINIONS Stéphane Badji moved to Anderlecht as a possible alternative for midfielder Leander Dendoncker. What can we expect from him? "Do not expect any technical tricks, but from a physical point of view he is just impressive", says Erdin Demir.

Erdin Demir is the current left defender of Waasland-Beveren but still played together with Badji at Brann Bergen. "Badji was the best player of our team. Physically he is very strong, he is a beast. He plays simple. Takes the ball and hands it over to a team mate. He is a quiet guy, but everyone was impressed by his appearance on the pitch."

Alain Giresse, former coach of the Senegalese national team, confirms his skills. "Badji is important for the balance in a team. He always played when I was coach. I have no idea why he is not being called up for Senegal anymore. Badji is the type of player that keeps running and lets his team mates play better. You cannot compare him with Cheikhou Kouyaté. Kouyaté has more technique, but Badji is physically stronger."
