GAMES - OTHER Belgium scored three goals this afternoon against Ireland. Former Anderlecht player Romelu Lukaku made two, Witsel scored the other goal. With this victory, Belgium take the second place in the group and have enough with a draw against Sweden to qualify for the next round.

Coach Wilmots had learnt his lesson from the last match against Italy. He started with a more offensive team with Witsel playing a lot higher. Also Meunier, Dembélé and Carrasco came into the starting eleven for Ciman, Fellaini and Nainggolan. It resulted in a dominating Belgium, but the pace was still to slow in the first half to create a lot of chances. The Red Devils had a handful of decent opportunities in the first 45 minutes and saw Carrasco score, but he was caught offside.

The second half was a lot better with offensive football from Belgium. Lukaku scored after a few minutes with a hard shot in the left corner. Witsel headed the 2-0 on the scoreboard after a good centre from Meunier and Lukaku finished the match with his second of the evening after an excellent rush of Hazard: 3-0.
